Dr. MacLaughlin received his B.S. degree in Biochemistry with a math minor from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh in 1998. He received his degree in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2002.

He has been affiliated with Fichte Eye Associates since 2003, involved in the care of refractive patients, the treatment and management of ocular disease, family eyecare and contact lenses.
