New Doctor Adds Services to Fichte Endl Eye Associates

We are pleased to announce Thomas R. Elmer Jr., MD has joined our professional offices in Amherst and Niagara Falls. A native of Western New York, Dr. Elmer received his M.D. degree at SUNY-Buffalo School of Medicine. Following an internship at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, he went on to a prestigious residency program at Louisiana Statue University, where he was elected Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. He then returned to Western New York and completed a Pediatric Ophthalmic Fellowship at SUNY-Buffalo Department of Ophthalmology. After the completion of his fellowship, he then went on an extended tour of mission eye surgery in Africa, performing a wide variety of complex eye surgeries.

Dr. Elmer’s extensive experience and training make him an excellent addition to our ophthalmology practice. This includes not only his skills in cataract, refractive, glaucoma and laser surgeries, but also his specialized pediatric training, which allows us to further expand our total eye care services.
