A recent FDA Sponsored study followed patients visual outcomes after LASIK eye surgery. The 6 six month study utilized data collected at a Navy Refractive Surgery Center in San Diego and five clinical sites across the US . The FDA Sponsored report found that more than 95% of the survey respondents achieved 20/20 or better binocular vision. Prevalence of symptoms such as ghosting, glare. halos and star bursts did not increase postoperatively after LASIK. This study reinforces that LASIK is a safe and effective procedure, with an extremely high satisfaction rate.
