On Friday Nov .7 2014 ground breaking began on the new site of the Fichte Endl & Elmer Eyecare complex. This new office will be twelve thousand square feet and have an eight thousand square foot ambulatory surgical center attached. The partners are excited to bring the newest technology to the Town of Niagara and still be able to serve their Niagara Falls patients well in the new bigger facility. When asked why the move form Pine Ave after over 30 years, Dr Tom Elmer said ” we have simply out grown our old building” The new building will be situated on 19 acres of land that runs behind St .Leo’s Church on Military road. The entrance will be off porter road. At present this land is a vacant field and wetlands. The new facility will feature more exam rooms, a larger selection of designer frames and eyeglasses as well as a place to do cataract procedures and other out patient surgeries. The Grand Opening is slated for mid summer 2015 . There is space in the plan for other out parcel medical buildings and the overall project , when completed will be a “medical complex” serving as the new home for numerous medical buildings of all specialties.
