After lengthy building and construction delays, as well as a long process of inspections and certifications, the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Niagara has opened its doors for business. The new outpatient surgery center is owned by the partners at Fichte Endl & Elmer Eyecare and is the only freestanding privately-owned surgery center of its kind in Niagara County.
The doctors felt there was a need to offer outpatient services to their patients so they did not have to travel to outlying areas in Erie County. Other similar centers are located in Buffalo, Amherst, and Cheektowaga, which are not convenient for those patients residing in Northern Niagara County.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, the very first cataract procedure at the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Niagara was performed by Michael J. Endl MD. The doctors at Fichte Endl & Elmer Eyecare are proud to offer the convenience of eye exams, surgery, and eyeglass purchases all in the same building.
